Increasing Awareness & Volunteer Recruitment
Summary
The Malden Warming Center (MWC) seeks to serve those experiencing homelessness by providing safe shelter and warmth during the winter months, recognizing each person’s inherent dignity and unique circumstance. Website
Opportunity
Our teams are working collaboratively with Malden Warning Center and other local organizations to help increase awareness of their non-profit and important mission as well as to help identify new volunteers. We are currently working on press releases, short-films, and other efforts to increase exposure and awareness.
Impact & Outcomes
We hope to help Malden Warning Center continue to be successful at meeting their mission. We are hopeful that Increased awareness of their organization and mission may lead to new funding opportunities and new volunteers.

Financial Reporting & Operations Improvement
Summary
Bread of Life (BOL) is a nationally recognized non-profit with an amazing 40+ year track-record for ending hunger & homelessness in Malden, MA and surrounding communities! Website
Opportunity
BOL currently has operational and reporting challenges related to donor tracking, systems integration, and visibility to accurate and timely financial reporting. Commonwealth Kind along with BOL staff and board members seek to ensure Chart of Account structure & GL accounts are appropriate for reporting needs, establish interface between donor & accounting application, and establish meaningful financial reporting.
Impact & Outcomes
The successful completion of this project will 1) reduce administrative overhead providing greater bandwidth to key staff and resources. 2) provide early indicators of financial risks. 3) reduce time and effort of annual audit process. 4) provide visibility to success & opportunities of specific fundraising opportunities and events 5) allow for greater strategic and long-term planning.

Straight Ahead Ministries, Worcester, MA
Mission Visibility & Fundraising Improvement
Summary
Straight Ahead Ministries exists to see Jesus Christ transform the lives of juvenile offenders. Over 1 million youth are arrested every year in the US, with 500,000 sent to one of nearly 1,200 detention centers across the country. Family relationships, community connections, education and employment are all interrupted and negatively impacted. They believe that this time of crisis can become the first step towards a transformed life. Website
Opportunity
Straight Ahead sought to provide greater visibility to their work, their mission, and highlight their staff member Hector Brito during his fundraising campaign. We created a professional 22 minute film that showcased a day-in-the life. Film
Impact & Outcomes
Increased awareness of the challenges faced by incarcerated youth, recognition of the great work done by Hector Brito, increased funding of Straight Ahead.

Support of Local Musicians During Pandemic
Summary
Local Musicians suffered greatly during the height of the pandemic; they were not able to perform in public venues negating their ability to increase their exposure and receive sales of their music that help fund their careers.
Opportunity
Our Arts & Artistry team open up their homes and produced live stream multi-camera professional recordings of performances such that they may connect with audiences and promote music sales. We also provided multi-track audio recording and 4K video for the musicians future use in any way that benefits the artists. We did this all free of charge for the artist in conjunction with our sister organization, Video Creators Lounge (website)
Impact & Outcomes
Videos can be viewed on YouTube Artists grew their audience and made important connections that helped sustain them during a time of lost revenue from lack of public performance options.

My Kind When Confined - Kindness During the Pandemic
Summary
In the early days of the pandemic many people were more housebound than in latter stages as we all waited to understand more about the virus. Many people were trying to identify ways in which they could help others while housebound.
Opportunity
In conjunction with our sister organization, Video Creators Lounge, we established a video contest, "My Kind When Confined", and asked those interested in filmmaking to make a video telling the world what they do to be Kind When Confined.
Impact & Outcomes
Provided uplift for those involved during a the dark times of the pandemic. Provided ideas and opportunities to all regarding how Kindness can continue to be shared while in quarantine.
